Life can be so beautiful, why think about the end? Because only death makes us aware of how beautiful life can be. Where do we go to, if we cease to exist? The film shows people who make a decision – for an examination with the big taboo death. A married couple who goes on a trip to a crematorium. Or an emeritus anatomy professor and gerontologist who doesn’t want to accept death: He is cryonic and is going to be frozen after his death.

Birth and death, beginning and decay – these last things make us reach our limits: the limits of life, the limits of logic, the limits of knowledge and also the passages into areas which seemingly defy our rationality.
