Durchfahrtsland (Remote Area) shows a very subjective view of an area which neither belongs to the urban districts, nor to the rural province, but which is something in between, something like an "urban province". The film draws a quite personal portrait of five protagonists who are all part of the social structure of Durchfahrtsland (Remote Area), but somehow live on the edge, each one in his own way...
